Malacca Discovery Drive

Dear Members,

It’s time to join the rest of the Hyundai family for a drive-away up-country. Some of us might have done this before on an individual basis.
But now, the newly-elected TOC Management Committee has decided to give full support to our sponsors, Komoco Motors. We will endorse and adopt this event as an official TOC drive-up, the first of many activities that the new committee is planning for 2012-13.
Since it is organised by Komoco, it will save us a lot of time and manpower. Komoco will provide the route marshals, book the hotel rooms etc.  We simply join in.
And it’s actually quite a good deal. The price has been heavily subsidised by Komoco, including 1 dinner and 2 lunches.
On our part, since this is an official TOC outing, we are now deciding what sort of TOC souvenir to give our members for taking part.
Fill in the reply form and then email your participation (e.g. TOC 004 Robin Cochrane + 1) to our committee member John Koh at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
          Enjoy. And support our sponsors.

Join the Hyundai Family as we go for a 2D / 1N driving holiday to Malacca, Malaysia.

Malacca is a 3-hour drive with at least 90% highway driving and the remaining 10%, passing by small towns and urban traffic.

Malacca is known for it’s rich cultural and historical attractions and to most Singaporeans, great food! At Malacca, you will enjoy the excellent shopping, delicious food and vibrant nightlife.

BBQ MEET-UP cum AGM

Dear Members,
We are going to throw a big party at a place we just discovered. And it will be the last meet-up under the leadership of the current TOC Management Committee, whose one-year term ends in May.
Originally we wanted to have a big makan at our usual meet-up venue – the Komoco Service Centre. But it was getting boring. Always the same place. This resulted in less and less people coming.
So now there’s no excuse.
The new place we found is called "The Training Shed", an outdoor resort-style café-bar in Labrador Park, where we can gather under the stars and party all night long.
To make this committee’s last bash a memorable one, the club will (as always) treat you to a free BBQ dinner, which will include the Shed’s specialty-- air-flown Australian striplion beef -- plus red prawns, chicken wings and more…(see menu)
Mark down these details:
• BBQ meet-up: 27 April 2012
• Venue: The Training Shed, 8 Port Road, Labrador Park (see map)
• Time: 6.30pm
• Free Admission: Only for TOC members and their immediate family members (i.e. wives n children). For friends and non-family members, it’s $30 per head.
• Closing date: 15 April 2012.

And because we are execting many of you to turn up, we will also treat this gathering as our Annual General Meeting to seize the good opportunity of getting a quorum.
Don’t worry about the formalities of the AGM. We can still eat and drink while the meeting goes on. We will make it the shortest TOC AGM ever. What’s important is for us to elect a new Management Committee to run the club for another year.
Due to limited space, please confirm your reservations quickly. It’s first come, first served.
Email your confirmation (name, TOC number + pax) to our committee member John Koh at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Then log on to www.toc.org.sg/forum, click “Reply” and key in your name, TOC number + pax to join the growing list of BBQ participants.
